Work & Residence Permit Assistance

Working or doing business in Sierra Leone requires the right documentation. We handle the entire permit process in the shortest possible time and at a reasonable cost. Navigate immigration with confidence.

Why You Need Both Permits

Working & Living Legally in Sierra Leone

If you are a foreign national working or conducting business in Sierra Leone, the law requires you to hold a valid work permit. Simply having a visa is not sufficient — a work permit is a separate, legally mandatory document.

In addition to a work permit, you also need a valid residential permit to legally reside in the country. Obtaining a residential permit can be a complex and time-consuming process on your own — but we handle it for you.

Work Permit

Required for any foreign national working for or running a business registered in Sierra Leone. Without it, you are not legally authorised to work.

Residential Permit

Required to legally reside in Sierra Leone beyond the initial visa period. This permit can be difficult to obtain without local guidance and support.

We Handle It All

Our team manages the entire process for both permits — minimising delays, correctly preparing all documentation, and liaising with the relevant authorities.

Our Service Charge

Le 700,000

This is our service charge for handling your permit application(s). Government fees and any additional costs are separate and will be advised upon review of your case.

Work Permit

Required Documents: Work Permit

To apply for a work permit in Sierra Leone, you must submit the following documents. Ensuring all documents are complete and correctly prepared significantly reduces processing time.

  • 2Letter from your employer stating your job title and confirming your employment
  • 3Photocopy of your valid passport plus two recent passport-sized photographs
  • 4Photocopy of the company\'s registration certificate and business name registration
Residential Permit

Required Documents: Residential Permit

The residential permit application requires the following documents. Note that a multiple-entry visa is a prerequisite — if you do not have one, we can facilitate that process for you as well.

Residential Permit — Required Documents

  • 1Valid passport and entry visa
  • 2Two recent passport-sized photographs
  • 3Multiple-entry visa (required for residency applications — we can facilitate this if you don\'t have one)

Important Notes

  • A residential permit must be obtained before you can apply for a work permit — the two are linked.
  • If you need a multiple-entry visa to meet the residency permit requirement, we can facilitate this alongside your permit application.
  • We manage both applications together where possible to minimise your overall processing time.
